Children's Ring Sizing Guide
Finding a ring for a child can be tricky because their fingers grow quickly. Children's rings are typically sized on the exact same scale as adult rings, just falling at the absolute bottom of the chart.
Average Kids' Ring Sizes by Age
Every child grows at a different rate, but here are the industry averages:
- Toddlers (1 to 5 years old): Typically wear sizes between US 1 and US 3 (roughly 12.4mm to 14.1mm diameter).
- Young Children (6 to 10 years old): Generally fit into sizes US 3 to US 5 (roughly 14.1mm to 15.7mm diameter).
- Pre-Teens (11 to 14 years old): Often wear sizes US 5 to US 7, which overlaps with the smaller end of adult women's sizes.
Safety and Buying Tips
When buying rings for young children, consider adjustable bands. Not only do they accommodate rapid growth, but they are also safer, as an open band can bend or pull away if it gets caught during play.
