How to Print at 100% Scale

The #1 mistake people make when using a printable ring sizer is letting their printer auto-scale the document. Even a 2mm error at this stage translates directly into a completely wrong ring size.

  • Open the PDF in a dedicated reader (like Adobe Acrobat), not just your browser.
  • Go to Print Settings and look for "Scale" or "Page Sizing".
  • Select "Actual Size" or "Custom Scale: 100%".
  • Make sure "Fit to Page" or "Shrink to Fit" is unchecked.

The 50mm Calibration Test

Before you measure your finger, take a physical ruler and measure the calibration line printed on the PDF.

This line must be exactly 50 millimeters (5 cm) long on your paper. If it is 48mm or 52mm, your print scale is wrong and your ring size will be incorrect.

How to Measure With the Cutout

  1. Carefully cut out the paper sizer along the dotted lines.
  2. Cut a small slit where marked on the wide end.
  3. Slip the pointed end through the slit to create a paper ring.
  4. Slide the paper ring onto your finger. It should fit snugly at the base but still be able to slide over your knuckle.
  5. Read the number that lines up with the slit—this is your US ring size.
